What + Why
Join hundreds of your neighbors to proclaim your solidarity with the sexual assault prevention movement! April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and to wrap it up, SARA staff, volunteers, educators, students, and others in our community will come together on Saturday, May 4th, to walk together through Downtown Charlottesville and demonstrate our commitment to ending sexual violence in our community.
Three ways you can participate:
- Register as an individual and then join a team or create your own, inviting friends, family and coworkers to walk with you.
- Donate to your favorite team or individual.
- Sponsor the event by contacting SARA at email@example.com
Your generosity to “Walk for SARA” goes towards the Sexual Assault Resource Agency's counseling, advocacy and support services for local sexual assault survivors and their families, as well as prevention education programs in local schools and churches. SARA is the only agency to provide these services in the city of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson.
